Iniquitous Solace - The Aftermath Cover Reveal

Hello all,

Well here it is!!! I am very happy to be introducing you all to the cover Penelope Prose's new book. I have admired Pen for a very long time. Been following her, Penelope Prose Blog , for a while now. Not only is Penelope a great story teller she also is an incredible poet. Her words give me strength to over come what life throws. If you will humor me I would like to share some of my favorite lines from her in the poem "Get Off My Lawn"

Nothing you said could ever right your wrong
Stop— before our lives become a bad country song

Go fuck yourself, seriously jump off a bridge
It might even do my shattered heart good, just a smidge

I loved you to pieces, and now I’m the one broken
All this transpired with very little words spoken

Perhaps, I’ve said enough, I should move on
Fuck you… GET OFF MY LAWN!

Now a little background of the book:

 Iniquitous Solace

The Aftermath

We all want to fall in love and for it to last a lifetime. But life and wishes rarely coincide, so what happens when love dies and you're the only one still holding onto broken dreams?

In Iniquitous Solace – The Aftermath, we get a glimpse into the world of one such lovelorn poetess. Come laugh and love with Penelope as she shares her very soul through her heartfelt words and poetic verse. With this girl you get it all; come walk in her shoes, wear her stripy knee-socks, or even her collar that locks! Though battered and bruised, you will love the spirit that defies disappointment.  Penelope Jones picks herself up, dusts herself off and stares life straight back in the eye. Iniquitous Solace – The Aftermath.  For a different kind of love.

Now,
Just a little about Penelope Prose before we reveal the cover:

Penelope Jones, the Iniquitous Bad Penny, is a saucy little minx who will drive you insane with her naughtiness and cheek!  A writer of super sexy poetry and erotic romance - prepare to love both the woman and her works.  Whether you seek a ‘happy-ever-after,’ or a ‘randy-romp for a night,’ Penelope’s the girl for you.  She’s the sauce behind ‘Naughtyville’ and ‘Little Miss Notoriety,’ so come check out her blog for other writing projects, and what’s next for her at her blog!  It’s a visit you’ll never forget!

The street Part 2 - Savior

snow

Collapsed on the street
Snow piled high on me
Tears strolling down my cheek
I don’t bother to wipe them
Knowing I am alone
I sit and wait for death to finally catch up
No longer caring
I hear it coming and look up to face it
But death is not what stares back at me
It is you,
You kneel beside me
Brush off the snow
I look into your eyes
I see no hate, only love
I wonder why you are here
On this side of the street
The wrong side
You don’t say anything,
You just smile
Your smile breaks the ice caging my heart
I feel safe,
Like you wouldn’t hurt me
You raise me to my feet
Take my hand in yours
You lead me away from my pole
We walk down the street for a while
Unsure of who you are or why you helped me
We kept walking; you pulled me closer to you
You wrap an arm around my waist
And place your head on my shoulder
I have never felt love before
But I know this must be it
We keep walking
Night is turning to day
I know now that you were sent to me
Delivered to me
To be my savior
I look in your eyes and see that same sparkle
As when you first picked me up
I love you more than anything
I will never leave your side
For you are my savior
So I walk beside you
Down the wrong side of the street
Happy, at last

Otep

A troubled soul
Shunned from the world
Rejected by society
He returned home an
Outcast
To the blade he went
Locked in his room
To the mirror he looked
Tears streamed down his face
“Just another day, it will be better tomorrow” he whispered
The blade clenched in his fist
Waiting for the feelings to stop
Drawing up that crimson flood
When
Her voice flowed through the speakers
“If you fucking touch us again; I will fucking kill you!”
He searched for the song
‘Home Grown’
With her voice he could
Do anything
Be anything
No longer would he pick up the blade
No longer would he be weak
He lifted his chin
Walked with confidence
Stood up for his beliefs
Stopped putting up with the abuse
Her voice
So strong
So powerful
So commanding
She
Picked him up off the floor
Gave him hope
Gave him strength
Allowed him to believe in himself
She is a part of his soul
She is

Trash

freak...?

obsessed...?

throwing my life away...?

making mistakes...?

~

What gives you the right?

to judge

accuse

and

diminish me

~

I stood before you

showed you the real me

and for what?

what good did it do?

~

All I felt is rejected

neglected

tossed to the side

like trash

~

So here I sit

with the one I am so called "obsessed" with.

She loves me, accepts me, and wouldn't change a thing

about your son.

The Street

dark-street-lights-photo
There he is!
Look now, the beast walks!
The pain they bring
Sadness forever consuming his heart
Walking along the familiar path
On the wrong side of the street
Staggering along
Alone
The snow piling up on his shoulders
Darkness setting in on his path
Stumbling along he keeps going
Though he can not fathom why
He shuffled to the nearest lamp post
And collapsed to the cold ground
Out of breath, out of energy
He simply can’t go on like this
He will wait for
The one
That will pick him up
And carry him to safety

My Light

images
You are my light that keeps my soul alive
In the deep trenches of my life
I see the speck of light in this dismal place
Sent here, I stand forsaken by a world
That which will never understand me
~
I am drawn to its beauty
The bright white light among
This pitch black nothingness
Towards it I must go
~
I move as if pulled by it
Away from all the
Hatred, Torment, and Pain
Drifting silently through this abyss
~
It’s so beautiful
Shining its love far into this hateful realm
Caught in its grace my soul is lifted
Cleansed of its rage
~
I reach the light
Seeing only my Guardian Angel
Standing before me
Embracing me with affection
~
We move away
Never looking back
Giving me strength
When no one else could
~
I look forth to our path ahead
Not caring what I see
Happy to be encased in your warmth
And glad to be out of the blackness
~
For where ever I go
For what ever I do
I will always love you
My Guardian Angel
